Did you know that September is Hunger Awareness Month? While many of us are fortunate enough to not struggle with hunger on a daily basis, many of our neighbors are not so fortunate. According to the United Way of the Lehigh Valley, 1 of every 10 residents in the Lehigh Valley are food insecure.
So, what exactly does being food insecure mean and what can you or your company do to help? The East Penn and Western Lehigh Chambers are excited to present an impactful panel conversation over lunch on the growing food insecurity crisis within these two communities and the many different organizations who are helping aid in the effort of those impacted.
Panelists will include Parkland Cares Food Pantry Executive Director Katrina Sundstrom, Associate Executive Director for Second Harvest Food Pantry Allison Czapp, and Joy Paulsen from Groceries Plus Food Pantry in Emmaus.
The Chamber is excited to partner with Cedar Crest College to host this event in their beautiful Tompkins College Center. Visit the tickets link to confirm your spot to this impactful conversation!
