Would you like to honor congregational members who are deployed and U.S. military personnel who serve around the world? On Sunday, October 15, 2023, Ziegels Union Church will celebrate National Day of the Deployed by packing military “goodie” boxes for the US Servicemen and Servicewoman who serve outside of our country.

If you are interested in assisting with this worthy activity, there are several ways you may help. From Sept. 3, 2023 to Oct. 8, 2023, a collection box will be outside the church office for “goodie” donations that you would like to donate so we can fill our boxes. The “goodie” donation wish list includes snack bars, cheese crackers, candy ( no chocolate), plastic jars of peanut butter, instant mac and cheese, individual snack bags, licorice, nuts, trail mix, Ramen noodles, flavoring packets for water, beef jerky, toothbrushes and paste, lip balm, lotions, word puzzles, stationery, playing cards, “cardboard” air fresheners, envelopes, etc.

If you would like to help pack the boxes, please come to the Fellowship room after the U.C.C. service (approx. 9:30am) on Oct. 15th. If you would like to make a monetary donation to either purchase items on the “goodie” wish list or to help cover shipping costs, please see, or contact Bonnie Millward (610) 533-8404 by Oct. 1st. After the boxes are packed, they will be taken to Keystone Military Families in Shoemakersville, PA. This organization will send them to the deployed military personnel. If you have a family member who is currently serving outside the U.S., please contact Bonnie Millward so we can be sure they receive a “goodie” box from Ziegels Union Church!

The Great Allentown Fair Returns September 2-7, 2026, bringing six days of tradition, entertainment, and community celebration to the fairgrounds. 

Now in its 174^th year, the Fair continues to honor its agricultural roots while offering something for everyone, from livestock exhibits and competitive displays inside the Agri~Plex to live music and family-friendly entertainment to a vibrant midway and lots of savoring tastes. 

This year's Fair holds special significance as part of the nationwide America 250 celebration, with themed exhibits and experiences woven throughout the week that highlight both our country's history and the role agriculture has played in shaping it. 

Whether you're continuing a long-standing tradition or visiting for the first time, The Great Allentown Fair offers a place to come together and make lasting memories.

Visit the Macungie Institute for an evening learning about scams and fraud with speakers from New Tripoli Bank. The presentations will be followed by a short question and answer period. Refreshments will be provided.

Timing. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. for exclusive Chamber networking, drinks (1 drink ticket is included with your ticket) and appetizers. The game will start is at 6:45 p.m.

Parking. Guests may park at Coca-Cola Park for just $5 per vehicle and the fee is payable by credit card. Cash is not accepted. Prepaid parking options are available and passes can be purchased at the Coca-Cola Park ticket windows during regular business hours.

Fans are reminded that there are three entry points for parking and are encouraged to use the Dauphin Street entrance when traveling from downtown Allentown. In addition to the Dauphin Street entrance, entry to Coca-Cola Park can be gained off American Parkway and Union Boulevard. Preferred/Handicapped Parking access is available via American Parkway and Union Boulevard.

Be sure to look for The Chamber "Event Today" Signs on your way in.

It's our 8th year of hosting this fantastically fun fundraiser for The Kindness Project! It is quite competitive and sponsorships/teams will sell out fast! We're getting the word out early this year!

Join us on Friday, Sept. 26 at Putt U in Center Valley for a fun escape with your co-workers to support the foster care community while networking with some of the most amazing professionals in the Lehigh Valley.

Please note that we are unable to 'add teams' as each hole is sponsored by individual businesses which include at least one team depending on their sponsorship level. Higher sponsorship levels = more teams!

Come out to the Olde Homestead Golf Club for the Germansville Goodwill Fire Company #1's fourth annual Golf Tournament. There will be plenty of prizes including a pot of gold, closest to pin, longest drive, and mystery winner, as well as prizes for first, second, and third place in the golf tournament.

$130 per person - entry includes golf cart and meal.
