A small slice of Eastern Pennsylvania became the cradle of industry that supplied many of the world’s core materials. The rise of the silk industry in Pennsylvania (Catasaqua and North Catasaqua) was a direct result of these materials. The program is presented by Martha Capwell-Fox who is the archivist and historian for the Delaware and Lehigh National Heritage Corridor.
