So much so that he eagerly shared his impressions in letters to his brilliant wife, Abigail. Their correspondence provides insights into one of the most captivating couples of the time and offers a powerful look into Abigail’s world.

Through her extraordinary letters, Abigail Adams emerges as far more than a witness to history, she is a force within it. Best known for her bold charge to “Remember the ladies,” she challenged the architects of a new nation to expand their vision of liberty. She spoke clearly about what mattered, pushing for education for all children, calling out inequality, and standing up for women’s rights and the responsibility of a new nation to do better.
