Student Loans
Committed to helping our young customers achieve their educational goals, New Tripoli Bank offers Stafford loans for students and Plus loans for parents who wish to help finance their child’s education. These loans are available for postsecondary education at a college or university or at a business, trade, technical, or nursing school.
Stafford Loans
With Stafford loans, qualified students can finance their education at a lower-than-market interest rate. Most students pay no interest while in school. Repayment does not begin until 6 months after graduation or termination of at least a half-time enrollment status. No collateral or cosigner is needed. Students may take up to 10 years to repay the loan.
Plus Loans
With Plus loans, parents can finance their child's education. The interest rate varies annually, but cannot exceed 9%. A 3% origination fee and a guaranty fee not exceeding 1% of the loan amount may be charged by PHEAA (Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency). Parents may take up to 10 years to repay the loan and there are no penalties for paying loans off early. Click here to visit the PHEAA/AES website.
